Germs! Germs! They don’t care!
The germs have made Miyam rather sick. He has all the horrible symptoms, from a scratchy throat, to a sore head.
But what is a cat to do when he’s managed to get so sick? Will he get well again?
When washing your hands and staying well is more important than ever, how do you teach a child why they need to be careful of germs, and how they can protect themselves and others?
The germ characters in the story are entirely imaginary (and perhaps even cute?) but allow a child to start understanding the concept of germs and some of the ways to stay clean and healthy such as sneezing into your elbow, washing your hands and staying home so that the germs are not spread to others.
An excellent resource for home, kindergartens, pre-schools, and childcare.

The Miyam & Friends Books Series
Miyam is a very special cat in a certain little girl’s life.
He acquired his name when Keira was just learning to talk and decided that ‘Meow’ was in fact ‘Miyam’ and thus all cats became ‘Miyams’.
It makes sense really. Kids really do have a certain sense of quirky logic. We can certainly learn a thing or two from them if we listen to, and live in their worlds for a while.
Miyam definitely has a life of his own, and he has been itching to get out to explore the world with his side-kicks Aqua duck, and Na-Na Bird.
I have lots of plans and ideas for Miyam and where his adventures might take him, so keep in touch to find out when the first of The Miyam and Friends books will be released.

Oh my goodness, what an adventure! Kellie Speechley’s writing and artistic talents took me into the most creatively imaginative place while reading this story. Picturing the bowel movements of a flying cow may hinder my sleeping abilities for a while, but the tears in my eyes from the much-needed laughter it produced were definitely worthwhile.
